31、ervice systems and connections to suchsystems. The pipe is either the distribution or transmission type.1.2 Distribution pipe covered by these requirements shall be designated as Pressure Class 165, 235, and305 for working pressures of 165, 235, and 305 psig (1.14, 1.62, and 2.10 MPa), respectively,

32、 and havea nominal inside diameter in the range of 4 to 12 inches.1.2 effective January 23, 20111.3 Transmission pipe covered by these requirements shall be designated as Pressure Class 100, 125,160, 165, 200, 235, and 305 for working pressures of 100, 125, 160, 165, 200, 235, and 305 psig (0.69,0.8

44、ASTM D1784 except as allowed by 6.3; andb) Have an established hydrostatic-design-basis (HDB) rating of 4000 psig (27.6 MPa) for waterat 73.4F (23.0C).6.2 PVCO pipe shall:a) Be made from Cell Class 12454 virgin compounds, as defined in the Standard Specificationfor Rigid Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC)

45、Compounds and Chlorinated Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (CPVC)Compounds, ANSI/ASTM D1784 except as allowed by 6.3; andb) After expansion, have an established hydrostatic-design-basis (HDB) rating of 7100 psig(49.0 MPa) for water at 73.4F (23.0C).6.3 Noncontaminated PVC and PVCO pipe from the manufacturers p

46、roduction that is reground, orpelletized, and dry blended by the manufacturer with the same grade and Cell Class of PVC virginmaterial, is not prohibited from being used provided that the blended material is of the same Cell Class ofPVC pipe material and the finished product complies with the requir

47、ements of this standard.6.4 The outside diameter of the pipe shall be compatible with the (OD) dimensions of cast-iron pipe.6.5 The outside diameter of pipe shall be permitted to be compatible with the (OD) dimensions of steelpipe when fabricated in accordance with the dimension requirements in AWWA
