3、Subject: Flush Device Cover Plate with Integral Power Supply Employing SpringContact TerminalsDECISION:81.2 These requirements are applicable to flush-type, parallel blade construction of the ANSI/NEMA1-15R or 5-15R configurations only. These requirements do not cover products incorporating a flushd

4、evice cover plate with connection means other than plug blades.Exception: A flush device cover plate that employs a spring contact terminal intended for electricalconnection to a duplex receptacle provided it complies with 81.2.1 81.2.3.81.2.1 A flush device cover plate that employs a spring contact

5、 terminal intended for electrical connectionto a duplex receptacle shall be designed to make electrical contact with the wire-binding screws of thereceptacle as specified in the manufacturers installation instructions (see also 88.6). Compliance shall bedetermined by inspection and by the Contact Te

6、mperature Test in Clause 111 of UL 498.81.2.2 The spring contact terminal shall be designed to prevent incidental electrical contact with the outletbox.81.2.3 The spring contact terminal shall be designed to allow proper seating of the cover plate over theoutlet box after installation.88.6 The instr

7、uctions for an illuminating cover plate employing spring contact terminals shall identify: (1)the intended duplex receptacle, and (2) any other limitations of use for the product. This may be in theform of instructions and pictograms.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:Present requirements of UL1310 do not addre
