This requirement supersedes clauses 6.1,7.1, 9.1, 10.1 and 12.2.SB3.2 If a retrofit kit requires modifying the luminaire in a way that could negatively affect its testperformance (i.e.: adding openings, modifying gaskets, new or modified electrical components, etc.) thenth
12、e appropriate tests from the Standard for Stage and Studio Luminaires and Connector Strips, UL 1573shall be conducted on the converted luminaire.SB3.3 A luminaire shall not be modified such that it draws more current or power than its originalconstruction.SB3.4 When applying Clause 15:a) Compliance
13、shall be determined using the Standard for Stage and Studio Luminaires andConnector Strips, UL 1573; andb) Clause 15.3 does not apply since this supplement only addresses conversions of specificluminaire models or model families.SB4 Additional Markings and InstructionsSB4.1 Retrofit kits shall be pr
14、ovided with instructions identifying the manufacturer and modeldesignation(s) of the stage and studio luminaires for which they are intended.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:This expands the scope of UL 1598C to include LED retrofit kits intended for stage and studio luminairescertified under the Standard for
15、 Stage and Studio Luminaires and Connector Strips, UL 1573. Stage andstudio luminaires utilizing retrofit kits certified to these requirements will continue to comply with UL 1573while incorporating the additional marking and installation instruction safeguards currently required by UL1598C.Copyrigh
