It i

This harmonized standard was prepared by the Association of Standardization and Certication, (ANCE), CSA Group and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). The efforts and suppor

This standard was reviewed by the CSA Subcommittee on Fuses and Fuseholders, under the jurisdiction of the CSA Technical Committee on Industrial Products and the CSA Strate

24、gic Steering Committee on requirements for Electrical Safety, and has been formally approved by the CSA Technical Committee. This standard has been approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as an American National Standard. Application of Standard Where reference is made to a spec

25、ic number of samples to be tested, the specied number is to be considered a minimum quantity. Note: Although the intended primary application of this standard is stated in its scope, it is important to note that it remains the responsibility of the users of the standard to judge its suitability for

28、AL NOT AUTHORIZED FOR FURTHER REPRODUCTION OR DISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL Fuseholders Part 19: Photovoltaic Fuseholders 1 Scope 1.1 This Part applies to Fuseholders for Photovoltaic (PV) Systems rated to 1500 Vdc. 1.2 This Part applies to PV fuseholders that accommodate PV fuses as descr

29、ibed in the Standard for Photovoltaic Fuses, CSA C22.2 No. 248-19 / UL 248-19 to be employed in Photovoltaic (PV) systems and that are intended to be used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, and National Electrical Code. 1.3 Fuseholders that meet another Part shall also comply w

30、ith those requirements of that Part. 2 General 2.1 This Part is intended to be read together with the Standard for Low-Voltage Fuseholders Part 1: General Requirements, NMX-J-009/4248/1-ANCE CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 4248.1 UL 4248-1 hereafter referred to as Part 1. The requirements of Part 1 apply unless m

31、odied by this Part. 2.2 For products intended for use in Canada, general requirements are given in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 0, General Requirements Canadian Electrical Code, Part II. 3 Characteristics 3.1 Classication 3.1.1 Fuseholders for use with photovoltaic (PV) fuses shall have a minimum short-circuit

32、 withstand rating of 10 kA and shall be rated 1,500 Vdc maximum. 3.2 Voltage and current rating 3.2.1 Fuseholders for use with photovoltaic (PV) fuses may be rated 1500 Vdc maximum, and the preferred ratings are 600 V, 750 V, 1,000 V, 1,250 V, and 1,500 V. 3.3 Withstand rating 3.3.1 Fuseholders for

33、use with photovoltaic (PV) fuses shall have a minimum short-circuit withstand rating of 10 kA. 4 Markings 4.1 Fuseholders for use with photovoltaic (PV) fuses shall be marked in accordance with Part 1. In the United States, the French markings are not required. 4.2 The information on a fuseholder sh

36、ted or removed by use of a carrier); and d) Do Not Connect or Disconnect under Load or equivalent and NE PAS BRANCHER OU DBRANCHER SOUS CHARGE or the equivalent (intended for photovoltaic (PV) fuseholders that include a wire connector feature). 4.3 PV Fuseholders employing an integral, non-user repl

37、aceable fuse need not bear the markings specied in 4.2 (a) (d). 5 Construction 5.1 In addition to the requirements of Part 1, in-line photovoltaic fuseholders that include a wire connector feature or are intended for unprotected outdoor use shall comply with the requirements of the Standard For Conn

38、ectors for use In Photovoltaic Systems, UL 6703, or CSA TIL A-36, Interim Certication Requirements for Connectors Intended for Use in Photovoltaic Systems. 6 Tests 6.1 Verication of temperature rise 6.1.1 Test method 6.1.1.1 If the fuse and fuseholder form an integral device intended to be replaced

39、as a unit, then the actual fuse, not a dummy fuse, may be used in testing. If the actual fuse is used, the applicable temperature limits shall be the limits specied in Table 1 plus 20C. 6.1.1.2 The temperatures specied in Table 1 are based on an assumed ambient temperature of 25C (77F). A test may b

40、e conducted at an ambient temperature within the range of 20 40C (68 104F). 6.1.1.3 If a test is conducted at an ambient temperature other than 25C (77F), an observed temperature shall be corrected as described in 6.1.1.4. No corrected temperature shall exceed the required value specied in Table 1.

41、6.1.1.4 An observed temperature shall be corrected by addition if the ambient temperature is lower than 25C (77F) or subtraction (if the ambient temperature is higher than 25C) of the difference between 25C and the ambient temperature. 6.1.1.5 If a corrected temperature exceeds the required value sp

42、ecied in Table 1, at the request of the manufacturer, the test may be repeated at an ambient temperature closer to 25C (77F). 47、r the polymeric material used or the established RTI when tested in accordance with CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 0.17 or the Standard for Polymeric Materials Use in Electrical Equipment Evaluations, UL 746C. 6.1.3 Verication of withstand rating 6.1.3.1 The requirements of Part 1 shall apply except for the foll

48、owing: a) Two single-pole fuseholders shall be wired in series and placed side by side; and b) Multi-pole fuseholders shall have their poles wired in series. 6.1.3.2 A PV fuseholder shall be investigated with the intended fuse or fuses marked on the device in accordance with 4.1. Multiple tests may be required.
