7、es that are GFCI protected, and Outdoor products may be placed in puddles of water or located in close proximity to poolswhere GFCI protection is important regardless of the accessibility of dead metal parts.In parallel to the addition of paragraph 135.1.2, paragraph 123.1 was added to the requireme
8、nts forwindow fans. As paragraph 135.1.2 did not exist at the time and since window fans are not likely to beplaced in puddles of water or located in close proximity to pools, paragraph 123.1 did not intend to requireGFCI protection or to require an equipment grounding conductor for products of this
