9、ions indicated below to identify national difference type, andthese types are additionally noted in this document. The standard may not use all types of thesedeviations.D1 - These are deviations which are based on basic safety principles and requirements, elimination ofwhich would compromise safety

10、for U.S. consumers and users of products.D2 - These are deviations based on safety practices. These are deviations for IEC requirements that maybe acceptable, but adopting the IEC requirements would require considerable retesting or redesign on themanufacturers part.DC - These are deviations based o

11、n the component standards and will not be deleted until a particularcomponent standard is harmonized with the IEC component standard.DE - These are deviations based on editorial comments or corrections.DR - These are deviations based on the national regulatory requirements.Each national difference c

12、ontains a description of what the national difference entails. Typically one of thefollowing words is used to explain how the text of the national difference is to be applied to the base IECtext:Addition / Add - An addition entails adding a complete new numbered clause, subclause, table, figure,or a

13、nnex. Addition is not meant to include adding select words to the base IEC text.Deletion / Delete - A deletion entails complete deletion of an entire numbered clause, subclause, table,figure, or annex without any replacement text.Modification / Modify - A modification is an altering of the existing

See UL 60730-2-8, Standard for Automatic Electrical Controls for House

16、hold andSimilar Use; Part 2: Particular Requirements for Electrically Operated Valves, IncludingMechanical Requirements or the Standard for Electrically Operated Valves, UL 429.This part 2 does not apply to electric motors, requirements for which are contained in UL1004 series of standards.1.1.1DV.4

Such electronic components/circuits shall comply with therelevant requirements for protective controls unless it can be shown through a faultassessment and tests of clause 27 that

25、 component of a multi-purpose control or system and provides aprotective control function or employs protective circuitry as described in clause11.13.101DV, then the electric actuator shall be treated as a protective control throughoutClause H.26.H.26.9.3.101DV D2 Add item (c):c) for the value of se
