9、Differences included in the UL adoptionof the corresponding IEC standard.In its IEC-based standards, UL uses the notations indicated below to identify national difference type, andthese types are additionally noted in this document. The standard may not use all types of thesedeviations.D1 - These ar

10、e deviations which are based on basic safety principles and requirements, elimination ofwhich would compromise safety for U.S. consumers and users of products.D2 - These are deviations based on safety practices. These are deviations for IEC requirements that maybe acceptable, but adopting the IEC re

11、quirements would require considerable retesting or redesign on themanufacturers part.DC - These are deviations based on the component standards and will not be deleted until a particularcomponent standard is harmonized with the IEC component standard.DE - These are deviations based on editorial comm

12、ents or corrections.DR - These are deviations based on the national regulatory requirements.Each national difference contains a description of what the national difference entails. Typically one of thefollowing words is used to explain how the text of the national difference is to be applied to the

13、base IECtext:Addition / Add - An addition entails adding a complete new numbered clause, subclause, table,figure, or annex. Addition is not meant to include adding select words to the base IEC text.Deletion / Delete - A deletion entails complete deletion of an entire numbered clause, subclause,table

14、, figure, or annex without any replacement text.Modification / Modify - A modification is an altering of the existing base IEC text such as theaddition, replacement or deletion of certain words or the replacement of an entire clause,subclause, table, figure, or annex of the base IEC text.JULY 31, 20

35、The catalog number or equivalent.The accessory shall be provided with installation and wiring instructions.5.2DV.2 See Table 25DV for marking locations.5.2DV.3 When more than one disconnect switch is required to disconnect all power withina control assembly or compartment, the equipment shall be mar

36、ked with the following orequivalent, “CAUTION Risk of Electric Shock More than one disconnect may berequired to de-energize the equipment before servicing.” In Canada, such equipment shallalso be marked with the following French wording or equivalent: “ATTENTION Risque dechoc lectrique Plusieurs sec

37、tionneurs peuvent tre ncessaires pour couperlalimentation de lappareillage avant dentreprendre lentretien.”5.2DV.4 When field wiring terminals are evaluated for use with other than copperconductors, the equipment shall be marked with the types of conductors to be used, suchas the following: “Use Alu

39、RTHER REPRODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL5.2DV.5 Equipment shall be marked to indicate the temperature rating, 60C only, 60/75C,or 75C only, used in the evaluation of the power field wiring terminals.5.2DV.6 Torque Markings Equipment shall be marked with the values of tighteningto

40、rque in Newton-meters to be applied to the clamping screws of all field wiring terminals.Control field wiring terminals evaluated for 0.8 Nm are not required to be marked.5.2DV.7 During the temperature test, when the temperature rise on the terminal is 50C orless and an aluminum bodied connector is

41、used or aluminum wire is intended, theconnector shall be marked AL7CU or AL9CU. When the terminal temperature rise exceeds50C and does not exceed 65C, the connector shall be marked AL9CU.5.2DV.8 Equipment incorporating two or more separate circuits intended to be connectedto a common power source sh

42、all be marked: All circuits must be connected to the samepole of the power source, or with an equivalent wording. The wiring diagram of theequipment shall illustrate a typical connection of the various circuits connected to thecommon power source.5.2DV.9 The equipment shall be marked stating which p

43、ressure wire connector orcomponent terminal kits have been evaluated for use with the equipment. A wire connectorof the type mentioned in the marking may be installed in the equipment at the factory withinstructions, when required to effect proper connection of the conductor.5.3DV D2 Modification to

48、ctors for control circuits shall beprovided with overcurrent protection in each ungrounded conductor, located no more than305 mm from the point where the conductor is connected to the source of power. Directleads measuring a maximum of 305 mm long or printed-wiring assemblies having noconnection ext

49、ernal to the equipment are not required to be protected. In Canada, thisrequirement does not apply.7.1.1DV.1.2.3 Unless protected by the power circuit protective device or as noted in7.1.1DV.1.2.4, separate conductor protection shall always be required and a fuse holdershall be provided with the equipment. Protection shall be as follows:When protection is provided by fuses:a) Branch-circuit type fuse: The fuse is not required to be provided with theequipment. When the fuse holder will accept a fuse having a higher current ratingt
