The hardware and software elements of the cookware intended to beused with the cooktop shall meet the requirements of a Class

12、9.6 - A Operating 1 ARATIONALE FOR DECISION:Presently clause SA3.2 d) of UL 858 Supplement specifies, with respect to clause SA3.1, that the controlshall not “Enable remote operation for operating modes normally considered “attended”, such as cooktopoperation.”An induction cooktop employing an assis
13、ted/closed loop cooking functionality includes a type of cookingthat is considered participatory in nature. Aspects of this functionality include the ability to load a cookingsequence to the cooktop and alter the cooking operation according to the program. As this style of cookingmay introduce possi
14、ble changes in user behavioral response (attended vs. unattended), this functionalityrequires additional requirements to ensure a more reliable control of operation during the normal cookingmode.The functionality of this type of programmed cooking is to be initiated manually by the consumer at theap
15、pliance and activated using the 2 steps ON function. This will assure that the user is aware of the statusof the appliance for the cooking mode. Secondly, the regulation of the temperature by the control withinthe appliance, either hard wired or Bluetooth, is required to comply with the Type 2, Clas
