39、ODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM ULINTRODUCTION1 Scope1.1 These requirements cover fire extinguisher and booster hose with or without couplings attached, insizes of 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) up to and including a nominal internal diameter of 1-1/2 inches (38.1 mm) foruse on portable, wheeled,

40、 and stationary fire extinguishers, and also as booster hose on fire apparatus.This hose is intended for use at maximum working pressure of 200, 250, 400, 600, 800, 1000, or 1250psig (1.38, 1.72, 2.76, 4.14, 5.52, 6.90, or 8.62 MPa).1.1 revised July 27, 19931.2 These requirements also cover hose for

41、 use on fire extinguishers requiring characteristics forlow-temperature flexibility at minus 54C (minus 65F).1.3 A product that contains features, characteristics, components, materials, or systems new or differentfrom those in use when the standard was developed, and that involves a risk of fire, e

45、less steel, and a rubber cover.4 Tube and Cover4.1 General4.1.1 The tube or lining and cover of a hose shall be made from natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or both,which is referred to hereafter as rubber.4.1.2 A tube and a cover shall be of uniform thickness, and free from pitting, blisters, or oth
