2、eet Metal AirDucts with Sealed Joints, UL 1382.Sheet metal air ducts with sealed joints covered by these requirementsare intended to comply with SMACNA HVAC Duct Construction Standards Metal and Flexible, 3rd edition, 2005.The duct sealants covered by these requirements are intended to beapplied in

3、a factory and are intended to seal transverse Pi ()x8x(180) / 144) = 31.4 sq.ft.The recalculated allowable leakage would be 5.6 cfm4. Determine the correlation between leakage rates and measured pressure differentialreadings based on the measurement equipment used.For Example - an orifice tube used

4、to measure pressure drop employs the calibration equation:Leakage (CFM)=Ax(pressure drop reading) to the power of BWhereA=14andB=0.4929So, when the measured pressure drop is 0.2, Leakage is 6.3.5.
