、t is conducted to determine compliance of non-metallic piping systems to Clause 4.2.6.1 ofthe Standard for Fuel cell technologies Part 2: Fuel cell modules, IEC 62282-2, when employingnon-metallic piping system materials that are conductive.8.2 The non-metallic piping/tubing materials are determined

、 to comply if when tested as outlined in 8.3 8.7, the measured resistance does not exceed 1 M.8.3 Three samples of the non-metallic piping/tubing are to be provided with conductive pads at variouslocations on the samples. The pads are to be located at:a) Points as far away as possible from the point

、s at which the tubing is mounted to groundedmetal,b) Intermediate points, andc) Other points that result in high resistance to ground because of the configuration of thetubing being tested.8.4 The conductive pads are to be metal foil approximately 2 cm2, and attached to the samples by a thinfilm of

、petrolatum or similar material.8.5 Ground point electrodes are to be provided on the samples at a point or points on the part where itis mounted to grounded metal; for example, the ground point electrode on a non-metallic tubing shallconsist of metal fittings installed on the ends of the tubing for

、connection to grounded parts.8.6 The resistance is to be measured between the ground point electrodes (i.e. metal tube fittings) andthe conductive pads after the samples have been conditioned for at least 48 h at a relative humidity of50% 1%.AUGUST 20, 2012 UL 2262 5UL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL NOT AUTHO
