The requirements wi
22、thin this outlinevalidate the functional operation of each multi-detector test apparatus and the multi-sensor detectorperformance is assessed in accordance with the defined limits for the applicable performancerequirements within the standards referenced in 4.2. Sensitivity and performance for each
23、sensortechnology is defined within each standard as referenced in 4.2.4.2 The multi-sensor detectors shall be performance tested before and after each performance testreferenced in this outline and shall comply with the applicable performance requirements referenced in theapplicable Standards or pub

29、apparatusoperating instructions.5.2 When using the apparatus, it shall be used within the recommended operating specifications of theapparatus and within the operating specifications of the compatible multi-sensor detector.5.3 The production or simulation of smoke, carbon monoxide (CO) and/or heat f
30、rom the apparatus, shallresult in an alarm initiation from the detector.5.4 The multi-sensor detector shall result in the same type of alarm signal as required for the specificdetection/detector, operational characteristics referenced in 4.2 for the specific sensor/detector publisheddocument and def
31、ined performance criteria.5.5 When operating the multi-detector test apparatus with the multi-sensor detector, the sensitivityperformance of the detector shall not be compromised. Following each operation or performance test onthe apparatus and detector, respectively, the applicable sensitivity test
32、 per the applicable standard, shallbe conducted to verify the operation of the apparatus and that the sensitivity of the detector has not beencompromised. Functional testing to verify all claims of operation are to be made on the apparatus, todetermine that none of the modes or principles of operati
