11、gth and circumference.6 Copper Thickness6.1 Class 20A copper clad aluminum shall have a minimum thickness of not less than 8.5 percent of thewire radius.7 Copper Volume7.1 Class 20A copper clad aluminum shall contain not less than 18 percent and not more than 22 percentcopper by volume.TEST PROGRAM8
12、 Tests8.1 General8.1.1 Class 20A copper-clad aluminum conductor shall be tested in accordance with the methods for aClass 15A conductor for the tests described in 8.2 and 8.3 only, in accordance with Standard Specificationfor Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire, ASTM B566 with the following modifications.8.2
13、Dimensions8.2.1 The nominal diameter of the conductor shall meet the requirements stated in the StandardSpecification for Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire, ASTM B566 when measured in accordance with the test,Conductor diameter as described in Wire and Cable Test Methods, UL 2556. The copper thickness shall
14、be measured in accordance with the method described in ASTM B566 for Class 15A. Class 20A copperclad aluminum shall have a minimum copper thickness of not less than 8.5 percent of the wire radius.8.2.2 The resistivity of the conductor shall be tested in accordance with the Standard Test Method forRe
15、sistivity of Electrical Conductor Materials, ASTM B193.
