25、 the test vessel and oil types as described in Table7.1. For each test, the test vessel is to be filled with the specified amount and type of oil and positionedon a burner whose location is considered to be most difficult to achieve extinguishment.8.1.5 The range top burner for the test vessel is to

The test vessel shall be uncovered

An external heat sourceis permitted to be applied to attain this heating rate.8.1.6 The extinguisher is to be discharged onto the fire after the test vessel has burned freely for aminimum of 1 minute after auto ignition with all heating sources continued to be applied.8.1

28、.7 The extinguisher shall be continuously discharged onto the vessel from an initial distance of 1.5 m(5 ft) and no greater than a 45 degree angle from the center of the vessel until the extinguisher iscompletely discharged. After the initial discharge, the distance is permitted to be reduced, but s

After the extinguisher is completely discharged, the energysupply to all heat sources is to be discontinued.SEPTEMBER 14, 2017 UL 711A 7UL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL NOT AUTHORIZED FOR FURTHER REPRODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL8.1.8

30、 After discharge, observations are to be made for:a) Extinguishment;b) Reignition of the cooking oil; andc) A decrease in the oil temperature below the oil auto-ignition temperature.8.1.9 Based on observations made during the fire extinguishment tests described in Table 7.1, some ofthe tests may be
