13、(1/4 inch) lip. Top surface to finish flush with flooring and lip beveled. PART 3 - EXECUTION SPEC WRITER NOTE: Edit to suit material of subfloor. 3.1 SURFACE PREPARATION: A. Subfloor shall be level and smooth. Level subfloor with approved leveling compound. /B. Concrete slabs shall be cured, and dr
14、y (not less than 60 days). / /C. Curing compounds, hardeners or sealers shall not be used on the slab. If a curing compound, hardener or sealer has been used, all residue must be removed prior to installation of flooring. / D. Flooring over existing surface such as wood or resilient tile: install in
15、 accordance with manufacturers printed installation instructions. 3.2 FLOORING INSTALLATION A. Secure flooring to subfloor using adhesive applied as recommended by manufacturer. Follow manufacturers recommendations for matching pattern and texture directions. B. Cut openings in flooring where requir
16、ed for installing equipment, pipes, outlets, and the like. Bind cut edges and replace flanges or plates. Use additional adhesive to anchor flooring around pipes and other vertical projections. C. Lay flooring lengthwise in longest dimension of space, and with minimum seaming area, uniformly to provi
17、de a tight smooth finish. Flooring shall be free from movement when subjected to traffic. D. Seaming: Use a special adhesive system that permanently welds the seams together. Adhesive shall be permanently resistant to cleaning solutions. Seams shall not be visible after flooring is installed. 3.3 ED
18、GE STRIP INSTALLATION: A. Install edge strips over exposed edges of flooring. B. Anchor strips to floor with suitable fasteners. C. Apply adhesive to edge strips, insert flooring into lip and press lip down over flooring. 3.4 PROTECTION AND CLEANING: A. Remove waste, strips, fasteners and other cutt
19、ings from flooring. Vacuum flooring and provide suitable protection. Unnecessary traffic will not be permitted on unprotected soft surface flooring.
