In theevent of a conflict between the requirements of this specification and thespecification sheet, the latter shall govern.3.2 Pualificati= Cables and
41、 cords furnished under this specificationshall be products which are authorized by the qualifying activity for listing on theapplicable qualified products list at the time of award of contract (see 4.3 and6.4).3.3 Materials. Materials used in construction of those cables or cordsrequiring qualificat
42、ion shall have the written approval of NAVSEA. In the case ofcables or cords not requiring qualification, NAVSEA approval will not be required,and materials in these cables shall be in accordance with the requirements shown inthe applicable specification sheets.3.3.1 Conductors,3.3.1.1 -DDer c&ctors

47、ngth values shall be met after the tapes have been conditionedfor 24 hours at 23 degreesCelsius (“C) and 96 percent relative humidity and tested while maintainingtemperature and humidity conditions in accordance with the short time dielectricbreakdown test in accordance with AS D 1458. Extruded sili
48、cone rubber insulationshall have a specific gravity of not more than 1.55. Other physical and electricalproperties shall be as specified in the specification sheets.3.3.3 Jackets. The material used for jackets over insulated conductor andgroups of insulated conductors, and for the cable or cord jacket, shall have thephysical and electrical properties as required by the applicable specification sheetand as specified herein. Unless otherwise specified in the applicable specificationsheet, the color of the cable or cord jacket shall be black.3.3.4 . The materials
