Definitions of effects and devices 2.1 Photoelectric effect Interaction between radiation and matte
14、r resulting in the absorption of photons and the consequent electrical phenomena. 2.2 Photocell A photosensitive device in which the photoelectric effect is used. 2.3 Photoemissive effect Photoelectric phenomenon characterized by an emission of electrons. 2.4 Phototube, photoemissive cell A photosen
15、sitive electron tube in which the photoemissive effect is used. 2.5 Photoconductive effect Photoelectric phenomenon characterized by the variation of an electric conductivity. 2.6 Photoconductive cell A photocell in which the photoconductive effect is utilized. 2.1 Photovoltaic effect Photoelectric
