20、ittees on which all the National Committees having a special interest therein are represented, express, as nearly as possible, an international consensus of opinion on the subjects dealt with. 2) They have the form of recommendations for international use and they are accepted by the National Commit

21、tees in that sense. 3) In order to promote international unification, the IE C expresses the wish that all National Committees should adopt the text of the IEC recommendation for their national rules in so far as national conditions will permit. Any divergence between the I EC recommendation and the

Scope This part lays down minimum performance requirements for headphones and earphones primarily intended for high quality reproducing systems for home use. It applies to headphones and earphones with d

31、evices, if any, such as pre-amplifiers, cables, passive networks, infra-red connections or other elements, which form an integral part of the equipment. 2. Measuring conditions All measurements shall be made in accordance with the general measuring conditions stated in I E C Publication 581-1 : High

32、 Fidelity Audio Equipment and Systems ; Minimum Performance Requirements, Part 1: General, and with the conditions for measurement given in IEC Publication 268-7 : Sound System Equipment, Part 7 : Headphones and headsets. It is recognized that the present measuring techniques have their limitations,

33、 as the free-field comparison measurements are quite time-consuming, while the coupler measurements suffer from the lack of a proper ear simulator (see also I E C Publication 268-7). Some of the characteristics mentioned in this part are assessed by means of coupler measurements using the appropriat
