23、mmittees having a special interest therein are represented, express, as nearly as possible, an international consensus of opinion on the subjects dealt with. They have the form of recommendations for international use and they are accepted by the National Committees in that sense. In order to promot

24、e international unification, the IEC expresses the wish that all National Committees should adopt the text of the IEC recommendation for their national rules in so far as national conditions will permit. Any divergence between the IEC recommendation and the corresponding national rules should, as fa

25、r as possible, be clearly indicated in the latter. The IEC has not laid down any procedure concerning marking as an indication of approval and has no responsibility when an item of equipment is declared to comply wiui one of its recommendations. This International Standard has been prepared by Sub-C

26、ommittee 606: Video recording, of IEC Technical Committee No. 60: Recording. Lobjet de cette norme est de permettre aux utilisateurs de magntoscopes de comparer les donnes techniques de produits provenant de fabricants diffrents et de garantir la compatibilit pour un format donn. II convient que les magntoscopes disponibles sur le march, et rgl en utilisant les bandes

29、 des magntoscopes de la CE1 correspondant aux normes des magntoscopes de la CEI, fournissent des rsultats satisfaisants avec les bandes disponibles sur le march. Les informations contenues dans cette norme sont valables pour les formats dj normali- ss par la CEI. A lavenir, ces informations seront i

35、l Standard describes the general requirements for reference tapes applicable to various video tape recorder (VTR) formats. The object of this standard is to enable users of magnetic recording systems to compare technical product data from different manufacturers and to enable compatibility within th

36、e VTR format. Currently available VTRs, adjusted with the IEC reference tape appropriate to the corres- ponding IEC VTR standard, should give satisfactory results with currently available tapes. The information within this standard covers existing IEC formats. For future formats the corresponding in

37、formation will be included in the IEC standard which defines the individual system. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this International Standard.
