Photocoupler techniques The principle of photocoupler techniques is illustrated in Figure 5, page 7. Appropriate precautions shall be taken t

13、o prevent misoperation as a result of unwanted volt- ages induced on the interconnections between the transmitter and supervisory equipment or system logic unit. 1 1.1 Commands Commands are sent to the transmitter by means of photocoupled switching devices or floating contacts located in the supervi

14、sory equipment or system logic unit. The transmitter logic shall be compatible with one or the other of the following two tech- niques : Continuous closure of the command circuit by the appropriate switching device in the supervisory equipment or system logic unit for the duration of the required st

15、ate. The opposite state is achieved by opening the circuit and in this case, only a single command circuit is required. Momentary closure of the circuit with a duration between 20 ms and 500 ms. In this case, the opposite command requires an additional command circuit. Unintentional continuous closu

16、re of circuits which are intended for momentary closure shall not interfere with the normal operation of the transmitters. 1 1. Introduction In sys

36、tems using analogue techniques, commands are sent from the supervisory equipment to the transmitter and indications are sent in the reverse direction by means of variable voltage or current levels. General system configurations illustrating these techniques are shown in Figure 7, page 13. Commands a

37、nd out-of-limit indications relating to analogue systems may also use the binary techniques described in Section Two. For example, the command raise/lower can be a binary command with the indication in analogue form or the command can be analogue with the out-of-limit indications being binary. (See

38、also Figure 1 *.) 19. Circuit requirements The requirements are the same for both command and indication circuits. The interface terminals shall be earth-free and the circuit wiring shall be by means of shielded $ pairs, with the shield earthed as required. Table VI1 shows the circuit requirements f
