、Designation: C1619 19Standard Specification forElastomeric Seals for Joining Concrete Structures1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C1619; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision.

、A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers the physical property require-ments of elastomeric seals (gaskets) used to seal the joints ofprecast concre

、regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.4 The following precautionary caveat pertains only to thetest method portion, Section 8, of this specification. Dimensions and Tolerances6.1 Specified Durometer Shore A hardness shall be withinthe range given in Section 7, Table 1, and actual gasketdurometer shall conform to 65 points from the specified value.6.

、2 Cross-sectional and circumferential dimensions and tol-erances shall comply with the relevant standard specificationthat is referencing this standard.6.3 When in its assembled position, the gasket shall not bestretched more than 30 % of its original circumference.7. Physical Requirements7.1 The se

Gasketlubricant shall not be altered, corrupted, or diluted from itsoriginal formulation as tested and certified prior to its use onthe gasket for installation purposes.

、7.3 Class B and Class D oil resistant gaskets shall containnot less than 50 % by volume, oil resistant polymer.8. Test Methods8.1 Laboratory tests to determine the physical properties ofthe gasket to be furnished under this specification shall beperformed on the finished product as supplied or from
