National bodies that are members of ISO or IEC participate in the development of International Standards through technical committees established by the respective organization to deal with particular fields of technical activity. ISO and IEC technical committees collaborate in fields of mutua

4、l interest. Other international organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO and IEC, also take part in the work. In the field of information technology, ISO and IEC have established a joint technical committee, ISO/IEC JTC 1. Draft International Standards adopted by the joi

5、nt technical committee are circulated to national bodies for voting. Publi- cation as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % OP the national bodies casting a vote. 8、omote the interchangeability of BASIC programs among a variety of automatic data processing Systems that utilize the individual Character input and module features. It is an enhancement to ISO/IEC 10279 and shall be used in conjunction with ISO/IEC 10279. This amendment is derived from the American

9、National Standard X3.113A-1989. 10、 using individual Character input, or modules, or both; - the semantic rules for interpreting the meaning of a BASIC program that uses individual Character input, or modules, or both; - errors and exceptional circumstances to be detected and also the manner in which such errors and exceptional circu

11、mstances are to be handled. 2 Specific changes Page 1 Clause 1, Paragraph 3, replace by: “This International Standard specifies its own conformance subsets, which include those specified in ANSI X3.113-1987, ANSI X3.113A-1989 and ECMA-116.“, Clause 2, add the following reference: “ANS X3.113A- 1989:

12、 Addendum for individual Character input and modules.” Page 1 Subclause 3.1, Paragraph 1, replace the first sentence by: “Apart from the conformance rules the technical content of this International Standard is defined in part from Sections 3 to 18 of ANS X3.113-1987 and its Addendum.” Page 2 Subcla

13、use 4.1, add the following four new conformance modules: P) An individual Character input module, which encompasses all programs whose Syntax conforms to ANS BASIC Addendum Section 17, together with the-core. 4) An individual Character input subset module, which encompasses all programs whose Syntax

16、onship of this amendment to ANSI and ECMA Standards It is the intention of this amendment that all programs and implernentations that conform to the Addendum to ANS BASIC, X3.113A- 1989, shall automatically conform to this amendment. In addition to the conformance modules defined in ISO/IEC 10279, t

17、his amendment contains four new conformance modules. Of these, modules p) and r) correspond, respectively, to modules (7) and (8) in the Addendum to ANS BASIC.
