The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through IS0 technical committees. Each mem
3、ber body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. IS0 collaborates closely with the International El
4、ectrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electro- technical standardization. The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards, but in exceptional circumstances a technical committee may propose the publication of a Technical Report of one of the following types: -
5、 type 1, when the required support cannot be obtained for the publication of an International Standard, despite repeated efforts; - type 2, when the subject is still under technical development or where for any other reason there is the future but not immediate possibility of an agreement on an Inte
6、rnational Standard; - type 3, when a technical committee has collected data of a different kind from that which is normally published as an International Standard (state of the art, for example). Technical Reports of types 1 and 2 are subject to review within three years of publication, to decide wh
7、ether they can be transformed into International Standards. Technical Reports of type 3 do not necessarily have to be reviewed until the data they provide are considered to be no longer valid or useful. ISO/TR 10358, which is a Technical Report of type 3, was prepared by Technical Committee lSO/TC 1
8、38, P/asks pipes, fitrings and valves for the transport of fluids, SubCommittee SC 3, Plastics pipes and fittings for industrial use. This Technical Report cancels and replaces ISO/l-R 6266: 1980, ISO/TR 7471:1981, ISO/TR 74721981, ISO/TR 7473:1981 and ISOITR 7474:1981, which have been combined into

There is no point in conducting tests under pressure as the pipes would be certain to fail these tests. 3.2 Symbols used to describe the fluids Column 1 Identification number of the fluid. Column 2 The fluid
18、s are listed by their most common names, includ- ing trivial and trade names, in English alphabetical order. An index of French names, in French alphabetical order, with the same identification numbers, is given at the end of this document. With some of the chemicals, synonyms are listed, also in al
19、phabetical order, with a reference to the first or the most widely used name. In some cases, further information is given, viz.: Subl. = sublimes Dec. = decomposes Column 3 Melting points (m.p.) are given where appropriate, the values referring to fluids of technical-grade purity. Column 4 Boiling p
20、oints (b.p.) are given where appropriate, the values referring to fluids of technical-grade purity at stan- dard atmospheric pressure, unless otherwise stated. Column 5 The concentration and/or purity of the fluid is indicated, using the following symbols: Dilsol. = Dilute aqueous solution at a conc
