1、Designation: A411 08 (Reapproved 2017)Standard Specification forZinc-Coated (Galvanized) Low-Carbon Steel Armor Wire1This standard is issued under the fixed designation A411; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year

2、 of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers zi

Adherence of Coating11.1 The zinc coating shall remain adherent when the wireis wrapped at a rate of not more than 15 turns per minute in aclose helix of at least 2 turns around a cylindrical mandrel ofthe diameter specified in Table 3. The zinc coating shall beconsidered as

Size and Permissible Variations12.1 SizeThe size of the zinc-coated wires shall be ex-pressed as the diameter of the wire in decimal fractions of aninch or (millimetres).12.2 Permissible VariationsThe permissible variations

20、ofthe zinc-coated wire from the nominal diameter shall be asspecified in Table 4.13. Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance13.1 The surface of the wire shall be free from injuriousscale, flaws, splits, and other imperfections not consistent withgood commercial practice. The coating shall be continuous

The lot may bere-submitted for inspection by testing every coil for thecharacteristics in which the specimen failed, and sorting out thedefective coils.17. Packaging17.1 The finished zinc-coated wire shall be furnished incompact

If the t
