Material and Manufacture5.1 MaterialThe material of manufacture shall be castbillets of Copper Alloy UNS No. C67000, C67500, or C67600as specified in the ordering information, and shall be of suchpurity and soundness as to be suitable for hot working.5.2 Manufacture:5.2.1 The product shall b
22、e manufactured by hot working(extrusion, forging, or rolling) to produce a uniform wroughtstructure in the finished product.5.2.2 The product shall be finished by such cold working,annealing, and straightening as may be necessary to achievethe temper properties specified.6. Chemical Composition6.1 T
23、he material shall conform to the chemical compositionrequirements in Table 1 for the Copper Alloy UNS No.specified in the ordering information.6.1.1 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andthe purchaser, limits may be establish
24、ed and analysis requiredfor unnamed elements.6.2 For copper alloys in which zinc is specified as the“remainder,” either copper or zinc may to be taken as thedifference between the sum of results for all other elementsdetermined and 100 %. When copper is so determined, thatdifference value shall conf
25、orm to the requirements given inTable 1.6.2.1 When all elements in Table 1 are determined, the sumof results shall be 99.5 % min.7. Temper7.1 The standard tempers for products described in thisspecification are given in Tables 2 and 3.7.1.1 Soft Anneal Temper (O60),7.1.2 As Hot Rolled Temper (M20),7

Mechanical Property Requirements8.1 Tensile Requirements:8.1.1 Product furnished under this specification shall con-form to the tensile requirements prescribed in Table 2 or Table3 when tested in accordance
27、 with Test Methods E8/E8M.9. Performance Requirements9.1 Residual Stress Test:9.1.1 When specified in the contract or purchase order, theproduct shall be tested for residual stress according to therequirements of Test Method B154 or Test Method B858 andshow no signs of cracking. (WarningMercury is a
28、 definitehealth hazard. With the mercurous nitrate test, equipment forthe detection and removal of mercury vapor produced involatilization is recommended. The use of protective gloves forthis test is recommended.)9.1.2 When the ammonia vapor test is used, the test pHvalue appropriate for the intende
