An internal hydrostatic pressure of 138 kPa (20psi) is required for this purpose. Operation of the spout should be defeated

Test MethodsNOTE 2The results of the tests described in the following sections areintended to be verified through actual testing performed by a re

The number of test samples specified for eachtest is the number of samples that are required to achieve compliance tothe test described therein.5.1 Leakage Test:5.1.1 Three sample spouts are to be attached to the contain-ers filled to their normal capacity with

36、 water at 23 6 2C (756 3.6F). The spouts shall be secured to the container using atorque value indicated in Table 2.5.1.1.1 The containers are then to be placed in the invertedposition for 5 min.5.1.1.2 There shall be no leakage.5.1.2 Using a compressed air source, apply a pressure of 69kPa (10 psi)

37、 and totally submerge in a suitable water bath atroom temperature for a period of 10 min. For plasticcontainers, apply the pressure by inserting and securing anadapter through a drilled hole in a flat, heavy section of thecontainer wall, not on a pinch-off or parting line. For metalcontainers, the p
