NOTE 2Attention is drawn to the warning conta

NOTE 3Other forms of material of similar composition are covered by British Standards as listed inAppendix A. 1 Inspection and testing procedure This British Standard shall be used in conjunction with Sections1and11 of BSL100. 2 Quality of material The material shall be made from
8、aluminium and alloying constituents, with or without approved scrap, at the discretion of the manufacturer. 3 Chemical composition The chemical composition of the material shall be: 4 Condition Unless otherwise agreed in accordance with BSL100, Section11, the material shall be supplied solution trea
9、ted, drawn and aged at room temperature. 5 Heat treatment The material shall be heat treated as follows: 1) Solution treat by heating at a temperature of505 5 C and quenching in water at a temperature not exceeding40 C. 2) Age at room temperature for not less than48hours. The mechanical properties obtained from test pieces selected and prepared in accordance with the relevant requirements of BSL100 shall be not less than the following values: 6.2 Hardnes
12、s test. The value of X shall be as shown in the following table: 1) WARNING. Tube re-heat treated in accordance with Clause5 without cold drawing after solution treatment may be expected to have the following minimum properties: 0.2% proof stress245N/mm 2 Tensile strength385N/mm 2 0.2% proof stress
