6、als with a miniature lubricating nipple for aircraft use. 2 Material The body of the nipple shall be machined from an aluminium alloy complying, with BS 1476, “Wrought aluminium or aluminium alloy bars, rods and sections,” material HE. 11 W.P. The spring shall be manufactured from steel wire complyi
7、ng with either BS 1408, “Hard drawn steel wire for springs,” En. 49B, Range 3, or Ministry of Supply Aircraft Material Specification D.T.D. 215, latest issues. The ball shall be of ball-bearing quality steel. 3 Dimensions The nipple shall conform to the dimensions and tolerances shown in Figure 1. A
8、ll screw threads shall be in accordance with BS 84 “Screw threads of Whitworth form” and shall conform to the “medium fit” limits and tolerances. 4 Finish The body of the nipple shall be anodized in accordance with Ministry of Supply Aircraft Process Specification D.T.D. 910, latest issue. The ball
