CRS-2La cationic emulsified asphalt made with base asphalt binder typically modified with styrene-butadiene rubber latex or polychloroprene latex. 4. REQUIREMENTS 4.1. Upon re
5、ceipt, inspect the emulsion to ensure that it has not been subjected to freezethaw conditions. The emulsion should appear to be homogeneous after thorough mixing. Complete testing within 30 days of the sample date. 4.2. The emulsified asphalt shall conform to the requirements in Table 1. 2013 by the

9、 is less than 97.5 percent, the base asphalt binder for the emulsion shall be tested. The solubility of the base asphalt binder shall be greater than 99 percent. 5. SAMPLING 5.1. Take samples of emulsified asphalt in accordance with T 40. 5.2. Store samples in a clean, airtight, plastic container at
10、 a temperature of not less than 4.5C (40F) until tested. 6. METHOD OF TEST 6.1. Determine the properties of the emulsified asphalt given in Table 1 in accordance with T 59. Perform tests on the residue in accordance with AASHTO T 44, T 49, T 51, T 300, T 301, or T 302 as appropriate. 6.1.1.
