30、 X X 15 Test Methods ermaneni set Lubricate the bolt (see Appendix 2, Figure 3, Table 10) using synthetic engine oil. Place the bolt in the spacer (see Appendix 3, Figure 4, Table 1 l), fit the bolt in the thread insert installed in a test block (see Table 5) until it protrudes at least 2 pitches be
31、yond the lockina zone of the thread insert Unscrew, removing the bolt completely from the 2 - 3 Screw up again until the bolt protrudes at least 2 pitches beyond the locking zone of the thread insert, measuring the prevailing torque on screwing (see Table 7, column 3 for the 15 cycle and 3 cycle tes
32、ts, column 4 for the 5 cycle test). Load the various elements (see Table 7, column 5 and Amendix 4, Fiuure 5) Heat the assembly in an oven at the maximum test temperature of the thread insert +. 10C for 6 hours f 15 minutes, take it out of the oven and let it cool down to ambient temDerature. Remove
33、 the load from the thread insert by unscrewing by at least one half turn and until the sDacer can be moved freely. Repeat the unscrewing operafion, measuring the breakaway torque (see Table 7, column 1) Unscrew measuring the breakaway torque (See Table 7, columns 2a and 2b Lubricate the maximum mand
34、rel (see Appendix 1, Figure 2, Table 9) using synthetic enaine oil, Fit the maximum mandrel in the thread insert installed in a test block (see Table 5) until it protrudes at leasf 2 pitches beyond the rocking zone of the thread insert, measuring the prevailing torque on screwing (see Table 7, colum
35、n 3). Unscrew, removing the maximum mandrel completely from the thread insert. Carry out the same chronological sequence of operations using the minimum mandrel (see Appendix 1 , Figure 2, Table 9), measuring the breakawav torque (see Table 7, column 1) Remove the assembly. After cleanina bolt or ma
36、ndrel shall be reuseable. Number of cycles on the same eiements.
