SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description describes a portable exhaust gas analyz
2、er used for measuring exhaust gas emissions from motor vehicles. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 Size. The complete unit shall not exceed any of the following dimensions and weight: a. Height - 10 inches b. Depth - 20 inches c. Length - 30 inches d. Weight - 120 pounds 2.2 Design and construction. T
3、he unit shall he portable, and supplied with heavy-duty wheels and handles to facilitate movement. The unit shall he capable of withstanding strains, shocks, and vibrations incident to shipping and operation. Construction shall be solid state, micro-processor based and non-dispersive infrared design
4、 with built in barometric pressure compensation and be automatically self-calibrated. The unit shall be capable of simultaneously displaying readings of CO, C02, HC, and 02. The display shall also be capable of displaying air fuel ratio LAMBA, RPM, and oil temperature of the vehicle under test. Read
5、ings shall he capable of being frozen, continuously updated, or printed. Total time to complete the analysis of one vehicle shall not exceed 25 minutes, including start up time. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. All units
8、shall comply with Federal OSHA and NFPA standards in effect at the time the proposal in issued. The units shall conform to BAR 90 accuracy standards. The contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 91 - 580 to the maximum extent practical. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE P
9、ROVISIONS. 4.1 Product Conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producers own drawings, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government r
10、eserves the right to require proof of such conformation. 4.2 Market Acceptability. The manufacturer shall have at least one years experience in the production and sale of the unit. Proof of such experience shall be provided to the government upon request. 4.3 Bid Sample. The government reserves the
11、right to request a bid sample if the literature submitted is inadequate for acceptance. Bid samples will be subjected to a 14 to 30 day evaluation. Evaluation criteria is maintained by the preparing activity and will be furnished upon request. 5. PACKAGING. The preservation, packaging, packing, labe
