2、s. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers the general requirements for an electric, front wheel drive, rear wheel steer, sit down operator, solid tired, 6,000 pound at 24 inch load center capacity, forklift uck. It shall be Type EE, unless Othe- specified as Type E, in accordance with ANS
3、iAJL 583. It shail be capable of handiing cargo in and around warehouses, loading platforms, and docks; on paved or other hardsurfaces. 2. SALJENT CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 Safety. The forklift shall comply with ASWANSI B56.1, ANSW 583, and OSHA standards in effect at the time of manufacture. A seatbelt
4、conforming to SAE 5386, and restraint devices designed to em the operators upper body remains entirely within the protection of the overhead guard in the event of tipover shaii be provided. Unless othemise specified in the contract, the final color shaii be yellow for safe operation in an indoor env
5、ironment. 2.2 Batte?!. The battery shail have adequate capacity to provide not less than 7.0 hours of continuous operation under normal inustrial use. The battery mounted half connector shall be the “SB“ type. 23 Hdraulic wstem(s). A pressure relief prokction device is required along with pump(s), c
6、ylinders, control valves, filter(s), reservoir, hoses, and ali other components necessary to make a complete hydraulic system(s). 2.4 Uihts and carriane. With no load on the forks, the seated operator shall be able to see at least one fork i at all iift heights and fork positions. 2.5 Fork msitioner
7、. The forks shall be capable of being laterally positioned manually without the need of tools. The fork spacing shaii be not more than 14 inches when the forks are at their most closed position, and not less than 40 inches when the forks are at their most spread position. 10、) inches in length. 2.7 Side shift. Hydraulically powered fork side shifting shali be furnished. It shali be controlled by the seated operator, with at least 4.0 inches side shift each side of center (8.0 inches minimum total travel). 2.8 Load bac-. The load bacluest, in conjunction with the forks a
11、nd carriage, shall provide a verticai rear load guard at least 48 inches high, measured from the horizontal, load canying surfaces of the forks. 2.9 Steering. Power steering shail be furnished. 2.10 Service brakes. Service brakes conforming to ASWANSI B56.1 shaii be furnished. 2.1 1 park in brake. P
12、arking brake shall conform to ASWANSI B56.1. 2.12 Jndicators. The truck shall be equipped with a battery discharge indicator and an hour meter, both visible to the seated operator. 2.13 Controls. Ail controls shall be in accordance with ASWANSI B56.1. Ail load motion controls shall be seif centering
13、, that is they shail return to the neutral position when released. 2.14 External lights. There shall be at least two sealed beam, 25 watts minimum, fldghts. One shall be facing forward, mounted on the upright or overhead guard, and one mounted in the rear, hing rearward. 2.15 Taillight. One combinat

17、ated with a non-slip coating compound or be furnished wih a non-slip metai surface. 222 Slinging provisions. Slinging devices that provide a means of attaching a shackle or ring to the forkiift for safe lifting sha be furnished to allow the truck to be lifted by a crane in its nod operating position
18、. Each device shall be not more than 1 .O inch thick. The opening in the device shail be at least 3.0 inches in diameter. Each siinging device, when loaded as the truck wili be picked up, shaii withstand a load of 2.3 thes the static load on each device. The wo& “LlF HERE“ shall be stenciled near ea
19、ch slinging device. If possible, the slinging devices may also be used as the tiedown devices (see paragraph 2.23). 2.23 Tiedown movisions. Tiedown devices shali be furnished that withstand the following loads: 3 .O times the unioaded truck weight in the forward and aft directions, 2.0 times the uni
20、oaded truck weight in the downward direction, and 1.5 times the unioaded truck weight in both lateral directions. 21、tence without breaking or rupturing. The &vices shall be not more than 1 .O inch thick, and the opening in the device shall be at least 3.0 inches in diameter. The word “TEDOWN“ shall be stenciled near each tiedown device. Ifpossible, the tiedown devices may ais0 be used as the slinging devices (see
22、 paragraph 2.22). 2.24 Performance. (1) Shall be capable of safely handiing a rated load of 6,000 pound, 48 inches per si& cube, with the center of gravily at the center of the cube. It shall be able to safely handie this rated load at all lift heights and fork side shift that the forklift is capabl
23、e of attaining. (2) Lifting speed. Shall be at least 18 feet per minute with rated load on the forks. (3) Lowering speed. Shail be not less than 27, nor more than 80 feet per minute, with rated load on the forks. (4) Right angle turn. With rated load on the forks and forklift positioned perpendicula
24、r to a wali, and with the front of the load against the wail, the truck shail be able to back up and make a complete right angle tum (ending up parallel to the wail) within 156 inches. (5) Travel speed. Shail be capable of traveling at least 5 miles per hour, in both forward and reverse directions,
25、while carrying rated load on the forks. (6) Slope ascension. With the truck facing up the slope and with rated load on the forks it shall be able to accelerate up a 15 percent (8.5 degrees) slope from a dead stop. (7) Upright tiit. With no load on the truck the upright (or mast) shail have at least
26、2.0 degrees forward tilt, and at least 6.0 degrees of rear tilt. (8) Upright height with forks on the ground (collapsed mast height). With no load on forks, the measurement from ground to uppermost projection of the upright assembly shall be not more than 91 inches. (9) Maximum fork lift height. Wit

The products provided shall confonn to the producers own drawings, specifcations, standards and quality assurance practices, and be the same product

The Government reserves the right to quit proof of such conformance prior to first deiivery and thereafter as may be othemise provided for under the pro*ions of the contract. 42 Market Acceotability. he following market acceptability criteria are necessary t

The vehicle fmished shaii be, as of the date of award, the latest model (with minor modiftcations, as that term is defined in DoD FAR Supplement 252.21 1-7012, Paragraph K-85 of the solicitation) of an established p
