SCOPE 1.1 This commercia
2、l item description (CID) covers several types, styles, and classes of bore gages with dial or digital indicators normally used to inspect, measure, or test the accuracy of inside diameters within a specified range. 2. CLASSIFICATION 2.1 Bore gages shall be of the following types, styles, classes, an

Sizes for each type and le of bore gage, consisting of bore size, gaging depth, and contact distance to head, shall be as specified (see 7.1). 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 3.1
5、 interchanging components for quick changeover of gaging head assemblies. Interchangeable gaging head assemblies, contact points, extension roddtubes, spacers, adapters, and the like, shall be provided as required to obtain the length or depth of gaging in hole as specified (see 7.1). The bore gage
6、shall include an indicator, and may include optional items such as setting masters or rings, stop collars, and protective storage cases as specified (see 7.1). . The bore gage shall be hand held and shall include easy means of 3.2 Wtruct inn, The bore gage and associated components identified herein
7、 shall be constructed of materials that will withstand normal shop usage, and ail components shall meet acceptable industry standards of workmanship and materials for commercial items of this type. Construction features shall include a means of assembling and adjusting components to meet the require
8、ments of Table 1 and sizes as specified (see 7. l), with the use of a single indicator. The contact point material shall be as specified (see 7. i). 3.2.1 Indicators. The bore gage indicator shall be of a dial or digital electronic design. Adapter kits shall be furnished when necessary to secure gag
9、ing head assembly to indicator. Cables for digital indicators shall be provided when digital output is specified (see 7. i). 3.2.2 otherwise specified (see 7.1). For indicators with digital output, pistol-grip handles may be provided in lieu of the in-line style. Removable indicator housings shall b
10、e provided when specified (see 7.1). . . Removable handles, when applicable, shall be of the in-line style unless 3.3 Ranges may depend upon the use of one or more interchangeable gaging head assemblies, adapters and/or extensions of various lengths. . Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible provided that the material meets or
15、 exceeds the operational and maintenance requirement, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 4.2 Environ- protection . The bore gage shall meet all applicable Environmental Protection Agency restrictions in effect on the date of the contract. These regulations apply to the emission
16、 of materials hazardous to the environment or the operators health and shall be met during the manufacturing, service, transportation, storage, and operation of the gage. 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Product Confm. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercia
17、l item description , conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 6. PACKAGING 6.1 Preservat ion. D- . Pres
