1、 A-A-59480 August 9, 2004 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION TESTER, PRESSURE GAGE, HYDRAULIC, PORTABLE (Digital or Deadweight) The General Services Administration has authorized the use of the Commercial Item Description (CID) for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This CID describes a pressure gage tester a
2、nd calibrator. The pressure gage tester is for testing direct pressure gages, relief valves, servos, pressure operated devices such as pressure switches, and static testing pressure lines. 1.2 CLASSIFICATION. The Pressure Gage Tester / Calibrator is of the following types as specified. 1.2.1 Type I.

5、ut license from IHS-,-A-A-59480 2 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Construction. The pressure gage tester shall be constructed of parts that are free from harmful defects and repairs. All surfaces shall be cleaned and free from harmful or extraneous materials. All materials used in the construction of
6、 the pressure gage tester shall be compatible in a manner that will in no way prevent compliance with the performance requirements set forth in this CID. The pressure gage shall include a protective case for storage and transportation. 2.2 Performance. The pressure gage tester shall have a range fro
7、m 0 to 10,000 psi, with measurements from 5-2000 psi in 5 psi (or less) increments, and measurements from 25-10,000 psi in 25 psi (or less) increments. The measurement accuracy of the pressure gage tester shall be 0.10% (or less). The pressure gage tester shall operate in temperatures from 0 to 40C
8、and in environments with up to 80% humidity. The pressure gage tester shall use MIL-PRF-83282 hydraulic fluid or equivalent as the calibration medium. 2.3 Operation. The control buttons and/or mechanical pressure generation method shall be easy to access and operate. All features necessary for opera
9、tion shall be clearly defined and marked. The pressure gage tester shall utilize an ergonomic and user-friendly layout. Finally, the pressure gage tester shall not require more than one person for operation. 2.4 Dimensions and Weight. The size and weight of the pressure gage tester shall be consiste
10、nt with current commercial capabilities. 2.5 Electrical Power Sources (if required). The Type I pressure gage tester shall operate off of a rechargeable battery (required for field use) and must also contain a universal charger that allows the tester to be used while recharging. 2.6 Durability. The
11、pressure gage tester shall have a sturdy design and shall be operable in all field conditions. 2.7 Instructions and Name Plate. Complete instructions on the use, maintenance, and calibration of the pressure gage tester shall be included. A nameplate shall be securely attached to the unit and must in
12、clude the name of the manufacturer, the unit model number, and the manufacturers serial number. 2.8 Workmanship. Workmanship of the pressure gage tester shall be of a high quality and be commensurate with the requirements specified herein. The manufacturer shall provide any and all accessories as st
13、andard that are necessary to make the tester unit complete and fully functioning. 3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Provided b

The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the offers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assura
15、nce practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. Small businesses that cannot offer products with established commercial market acceptability may compete by submission of bid samples. The Government reserves the right to require proof of conformance to this CID.
16、 4.2 Market Acceptability. The following market acceptability criteria are necessary to document the quality of the product to be provided under this requirement. The manufacturer of the item shall have been producing a product meeting these requirements for at least 2 years. The manufacturer of the
17、 item shall have sold at least 250 units meeting these requirements to the Government or the commercial market over the last 2 years. 5. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. 6. NOTES. 6.1 Ordering data. The purchaser shall specify the followin
