1、INCH-POUND A-A-59509 10 January 2000 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION GAGE, HEIGHT, ELECTRONIC INDICATING The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers electronically amplifi

2、ed height gage intended for use of height measurements where a high degree of accuracy is required. 2. SALIENT CAHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 General requirements. The height gage assembly shall be new and of the quality and design currently being offered by manufactures as an industry excepted standard. The

3、 gage assembly shall be complete and free of defects so that when installed and connected to the specified source of power it can be used for any operation for which it was designed. 2.2 Components. The height gage assembly shall be comprised of an electronic amplifier, column & base, gaging heads a

4、nd gage probes. 2.2.1 Column and base. The column shall be attached to the base to form an integral assembly and shall be of sufficient rigidity to insure repetitive measurements for the full measuring range. The column shall be equipped with a universal clamp and gaging head crossbar. One end of th

5、e crossbar shall have provisions for mounting and adjusting the gaging head for measuring both vertical and horizontal surfaces. A fine height adjustment feature of a range of not less than .O30 inches shall be incorporated in the gage assembly. Beneficial comments, recommendations, additions, delet

7、SCALES High Low 2.2.2 Gage heads and gage probes. The gaging head shall be the reversible type for over and under gaging operations with gage contact actuating force of not more than 10 grams for both over and under gaging. The gaging head shall have provisions for being attached onto the adjustable

8、 crossbar. Gage probes shall be designed to be readily interchangeable and shall be so mounted to the gage heads so that they will be able to withstand displacement in any direction without causing damage to the gaging head or the probes. 9、o00 1 O0 2.2.3 Range and scale divisions. As stated in Table I, amplifiers may have intermediate scale ranges between the “high” and the “low amplifier scales stated, but its overall ranges shall encompass the stated high or less to the stated low or greater. 10、4 Electronic amplifier. The amplifier shall be a transistorized unit constructed of material currently approved by the electronic gaging industry. Unless otherwise specified, the amplifier shall have not less than two distinct measurement ranges with related read-out scales with division values and

11、measurement ranges as specified in Table I. The measurement ranges may be direct, multi-scale read-out, with a scale selector knob, or a single scale with a range selector knob. The amplifier shall be equipped with an off-on switch, provisions for calibrating, provision for zero setting, a power sup

12、ply and a recorder plug-in socket and a carrying handle. 2.3 Electrical requirements. The equipment shall be operable from an input power of 115 to 120 volts, 60 hertz, single phase alternating current. 2.4 Safety. The gage assembly shall have adequate safety provisions to protect the operator from

13、injury and electrical shock. 2.5 Nameplate. A corrosion resistant nameplate permanently and legibly marked with the following information shall be securely attached to a component of the height gage. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use rec

15、overed materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Product conformance. The height gage provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform t

16、o the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5. PACKAGING 6.1 Preservation, packaging, packing, and marking. Preserv
