REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Preproduction. This specificatio
4、n makes provisions for preproduction testing. 3.2 Design and construction. The design and construction of the burster shall conform to A.O. Smith Dratring OA-75. If this specification and the drawing conflict , the specification shall govern. 3.3 Material. All materials and components used in the ma
5、nufac- ture and assembly of the burster shall conform to the specifications and drawings forming a part of this specification. a3.3.1 Dissimilar metals. Unless suitably protected against electrolytic corrosion , dissimiar metals shall not be used in intimate contact with each other. Dissimilar metal
6、s are defined in MIL-STD-889. “3.3.2 Chemical composition. The chemical composition of the burster charge shall be as specified in MIL-(2-401 and A.O. Smith Drawing OA-75, 3.3.3 Weight. The weight of composition B in each burster shall be approximately 6,555 grams. *3,4 Interchangeability. All parts
7、 having the same part number shall be functionally and dimensionally interchangeable. The drawing number requirements of MIL-D-1000 shall govern changes in the part numbers. Inspection checks shall be made prior to
9、assembly, to ascertain that all materials and components of the burster covered by separate specifications or drawings have been inspected, tested, and accepted in accordance with their respective specifications or drawings. 4.5.4 Packaging. Inspection shall be made during and after packaging for co
10、mpliance wlth the packaging , packing , and mark5ng requirements of Section 5. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Level of preservation and packaging n5.l.l Level A. The burster shall be preserved in accordance with MI-, method ich. Fiber cans shall conform to MIL-C-3955, type II, grade A, style b, cla
11、ss 3, and packaged eight each to an exterior container in two layers of four each. Cushioning material conforming to PPP-P-291 shall be placed between each can and layer. 5.2 Level of packing n5.2.1 Level A. The burster preserved and packaged to meet 5.1.1 shall be packed in exterior type shipping c
12、ontainers meeting PPP- B-621. As far as practical, exterior containers shall be of uniform shape and size, be of mnimum cube and tare consistent with the protection required, and contain identical quantities The gross weight of each pack shall be limited to approximately 190 pounds. Containers shall
13、 be closed and strapped in accordance with the applicable container specification or appendix thereto. Containers shall be provided with a case liner conforming to MIL-L-10547 and shall be sealed in accordance with appendix thereto. *5.3 Physical. protection. Cushioning, blocking, bracing, and bolti
14、ng as reguired shall be in accordance with MIL-CTD-1186. Drop tests of MIL-STD-1186 shall be waived. 5.4 Marking, Interior and exterior containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1. Intended use. This burster is intended to be used as the detonating burster for the MC-1 bo
15、mb. 6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the title, number and date of this specification. 6.3 Safety classification.
