REQUIREMENTS STANDARDS Military MI

5、Navv Aeronautical AN565 Setscrew - Hexagon and Fluted Socket, Headless 3.1 Preproduction. T h i s specification makes provisions for preproduction test- ing. 3.2 Design and construction. The design and construction of the control shall con- form to Drawing 53D13247. Where the requirements of the dra

6、wing and this specification conflict, the requirements of this specification shall govern. 3.2.1 Setscrews (control knob). S e t- s crews in the control knobs shall have No. 8-32 UNC-SA threads in accordance with AN565. 3.2.2 Tubing connections, The tubing connections in the control shall be tight t

7、o preclude leakage of the pressurized air. 3.2.3 Electrical circuitry. 8、 The control shall be capable of satisfactory continuous opera- tion under the following conditions: a. A relative humidity as encountered in tropical and semitropical climates b. Fxposure to atmosphere containing salt - laden mois ture c. Vibration incident to use in aircraft. 3.3.1 Leakage, The le

9、akage shall not be more than 0.5 inch Hg in 1 minute when tested in accordance with 4.5.2. 3.4 Identification of product. Equipment, assemblies, and parts shall be marked for identification in accordance with MIL- STD - 130. 3.5 Workmanship 3.5.1 General. The control, including all parts and accesso

10、ries, shall be fab- ricated and finished in a thoroughly work- manlike manner. Particular attention shall be given to freedom from blemishes, defects, burrs, and sharp edges; accuracy of dimensions, radii of fillets and marking of parts and assemblies; thoroughness of soldering, brazing, and rivetin

11、g; alignment of parts and tightness of assembly screws and bolts; et cetera. 3.5.2 Riveting. Riveting operations shall be carefully performed to insure tightness and satisfactory heading of rivets. 3.5.3 Cleaning. The control shall be thoroughly cleaned. Loose, spattered, or excess solder, metal chi

12、ps, and other foreign material shall be removed during and after final assembly, 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Un- less otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order,- the supplier is respon- sible for the performance of all inspection requirements as spe

13、cified herein, Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any com- mercial laboratory acceptable to the Gov- right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to as- sure supplies and services conform

Preproduction tests b. Acceptance tests 4.3 Preproduction testing 4.3.1 Test sample. The contractor shall subject three contr

15、ols to the preproduction tests specified in 4.3.2. 4.3.2 Preproduction tests. The three controls shall be subjected to the ac- ceptance tests and the following tests as described under 4.5: a. First control to be subjected to the humidity test specified in 4.5.4.1 b. salt spray test specified in 4.5

16、.4.2 Second control to be subjected to the c. 17、9 8 -1 4.4 Acceptance tests, Acceptance tests shall consist of the individual tests. 4.4.1 Individual tests. Each control shall be subjected to the following tests as described under 4.5: a. Examination of product b. Leakage test c. Circuit continuity 4.5 Test methods 4.5.1 Examination of product. T

18、he con- trol shall be inspected to determine com- pliance with the requirements specified herein with respect to materials, work- manship, and marking, 4.5.2 Leakage. The control shall be connected to an air pressure source. A pressure sufficient to produce an indica- tion o 42 to 45 inches Hg on th

19、e control pressure gage shall be applied. The con- necting tubing shall then be pinched off or otherwise completely sealed at apoint within 2 inches of the control pressure connection. During the first minute after the connecting tubing has been completely sealed, the gage pointer shall not change i

20、ts position by more than 0.5 inch Hg. 4.5.3 Circuit continuity. The electrical circuitry in the control shall be given a continuity check to determine that the circuit meets the requirements specified on Drawing 53B13250, 4.5.4 Environmental tess. The control shall be subjected to the following en-

21、vironmental tests in accordance with MIL- E -5272. 4.5.4.1 Humidity. The control shall be subjected to humidity in accordance with procedure I of MIL-E-5272. Corrosion of components, except for the following- com?onents, shall be cause for rejection of the control: a. Purge valve b. Air pressure ind

22、icating gage c. Switch and guard assembly d. Light panel plastic plate lighting e. Li gh t assembly press-to-test in- dicator. 4.5.4.2 Salt spray, The control shall be subjected to salt spray in accordance with procedure II specified in MIL-E- 5272. Cause for rejection shall be as specified in 4,5.4

23、.1. 4.5.4.3 Vibration. The control shall be subjected to the vibration test specified in procedure I of MIL-E-5272. Upon con- clusion of this test, the control shall be subjected to the tests specified in 4.5.4.3.1 and 4.5.3. Structural failure or failure of the control, except for the air pressure

24、indicating gage, panel light assemblies, and press-to-test light indicator shall be cause for rejection, Failure of any of the three components specified shall be indicated. 4.5.4.3.1 Post vibration leakage test. A gage, of the same type as the gage in the control unit, shall be connected externally

25、 through a tee to the control pressure connection in such manner that the in- ternal volume will be minimum, The con- trol shall be connected to an air-pressure source and a pressure applied sufficient to produce an indication of 42 to 45inches on the external pressure gage.
