The sewing toler
42、ances for l/4-inch and 5/16-inch gauges of stitching shall be plus or minus 1/16-inch. The sewing tolerances for 3/8-inch gauge of stitching shall be plus O or minus 1/8-inch. The sewing tolerance for 1/16-inch from the edge shall be minus O or plus 1/32-inch. NOTE: Top stitching option of 3/16-inch
43、 to 1/4-inch gauge may be used if consistent throughout garment 3.4.7 Corded beading in edges of slide fastener coverings. All slide fastener closures for the pockets, leg terminals, and front opening shall have a cord beading in the edges of the slide fastener coverings conforming to Type IA of MIG
44、C-5040. The outer beaded cloth edges of all slide fastener closures shall be flush with the slide fastener scoops. The scoops, when locked together, shall be completely concealed by the beaded coverings. c 3.4.8 Hook part of fastener tape for nameplate. An identical size of the hook fastener tape sh
45、all be fixed to the pile fastener tape for use as a mounting for the wearers nameplate (see No. 14 of table VI). ,. 3.5 Patterns. Themanufacturers working patterns shall be identical in size and shape to the patterns referenced by this specification. Unless otherwise specified herein, the patterns p
46、rovide a allowance of 3/8-inch for single-needle seams and 1/2-inch for double-needle seams. 3.6 Finishedmeasurements. The finished measurements of the coveralls shall conform to table VII. 3.7 Labels 3.7.1 Contractoi*/general instruction label a. Each of the coveralls shall have a combination size/
47、identifcationinstruction label conforming to type I, class 14 of DDD-L-20, except that the name of the contractor and the specification number shall be included on the label. The label shall have colorfastness to laundering. b. The instruction label shall conform to the requirement of type I, class
48、14 ofDDD-L-20. The body of the instruction label shall be as follows: COVERALLS, CIREMICAL DEFENSE CWU-BWJ? 1. Wear as outer garment. 2. WARNING. IMPORTANT.
