SCOPE 1.1 intended for use as aircraft towing and spotting vehicles for aircraft weighing up to 175,000 pounds and trailers weighing up to 93,000 pounds. ScoD

Dissimilar metals are defined in MIL-STD-889. 3.1.3 The vehicle shall be constructed so that parts shall

32、not work loose in service, and shall withstand the loads, shocks, vibrations and other conditions incident to operation, shipping, and storage with minimum loss of time for maintenance, repair, and servicing. The design of the vehicle shall ensure safe, efficient, and economical operation. All assem

33、blies, controls, and installed equipment shall be located so there will be no adverse interference with each other or with operations and shall be readily accessible for maintenance, operation, removal, and replacement. The vehicle shall comply with MIL-STD-1472, Federal Safety Regulations 49CFR571

34、and 49CFR393. Unless protected against electrolytic corrosion, dissimilar metals shall Design and Construct ion. I 3.1.3.1 Beliabilitv, Failures (MTBF) of not less than 250 hours demonstrated at an 0.9 confidence level. The vehicle shall be designed for a life expectancy of at least 14 years. The ve

38、anic, using common hand tools, can perform the following maintenance operations within the time specified: Remove, replace and adjust all engine driven belts - 3/4 hour. Remove and replace alternator - U2 hour. Remove and replace all filters, screens and strainers in all hydraulic systems - one hour

39、. Remove and replace engine coolant system hoses - U2 hour. Drain engine lubricating oil, remove and replace oil filter element (s) and refill crankcase - one hour. Remove and replace fuel filter element (s) - il2 hour. Disconnect battery cables, remove and replace batteries and reconnect battery ca

40、bles - l/2 hour. Where improper installation of an item could cause a malfunction, an 3.1.3.4 Fastening devices, designed, manufactured and installed with adequate means of preventing loss of torque or adjustment. Cotter pins, lock washers or nylon patches shall not be used for this purpose, except for attachm
