1、1999 STANDARD for AIR-CONDITIONING classifications; requirements for testing and rating; minimum data requirements for published ratings; operating requirements; marking and nameplate data; and conformance conditions. 1.1.1 Intent. This standard is intended for the guidance of the industry, includin

2、g manufacturers, engineers, installers, contractors and users. 1.1.2 Review and Amendment. This standard is subject to review and amendment as technology advances. Section 2. Scope 2.1 Scope. This standard applies to factory-made residential, commercial and industrial indoor pool dehumidifiers, as d

3、efined in Section 3. 2.1.1 Energy Source. This standard applies only to electrically-driven, mechanical compression type systems. 2.2 Exclusions. This standard applies to the ratings and testing of complete refrigeration systems and does not apply to individual assemblies for separate use. Section 3

4、. Definitions 3.1 Definitions. All terms in this document will follow the standard industry definitions in the current edition of ASHRAE Terminology of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration unless otherwise defined in this section. 3.2 Economizer. Factory made assembly that introd

5、uces up to 100% of outdoor air while turning off the compressors when the conditions are appropriate. 3.3 Indoor Pool Dehumidifier. An indoor pool dehumidifier provides the function of dehumidifying, air circulation, air reheating and may include the function of air cooling, air filtration, pool wat

6、er heating and air-to-air heat recovery. cooling/dehumidifying coil, an air reheat coil, compressor(s) and an air moving device. It may also include a refrigerant condenser-pool water heater, an auxiliary refrigerant condenser, air-cooled or water-cooled, the introduction of outdmr air for ventilati

7、on, the discharge of exhaust air and an air-to-air heat recovery device. Separate assemblies should be designed to be used together, and the requirements of rating outlined in the standard are based upon the use of matched assemblies. 3.4 Moisture Removal Capacity (MRC). The amount of condensate pro

8、duced by the unit including the effects of reheat coils, circulating fans and other components in the air stream, not including supplementary heating, cooling or outdoor air expressed in lb/h kg/h. 3.5 Moisture Removal ESJiciency (MRE). A ratio calculated by dividing the moisture removal capacity in

9、 lb/h kg/h by the power input in kW at any given set of rating conditions expressed in lb of moisture/kWh kg of moisture/kWh. 3.5.1 Standard Moisture Removal ESJiciency. A ratio calculated from the capacity and power input values obtained at Standard Rating Conditions. 3.6 Published Rating. A statem

10、ent of the assigned values of those performance characteristics, under stated rating conditions, by which a unit may be chosen to fit its application. These values apply to all units of like nominal size and type (identification) produced by the same manufacturer. As used herein, the term “published

11、 rating“ includes the rating of all performance characteristics shown on the dehumidifier or published in specifications, advertising or other literature controlled by the manufacturer, at stated rating conditions. 3.6.1 Standard Rating. A rating verifiable by tests performed at Standard Rating Cond

12、itions. 3.6.2 Application Rating. A rating verifiable by tests performed at application rating conditions (other than Standard Rating Conditions). 3.7 Rating Conditions. Any set of operating conditions under which a single level of performance results, and which causes only that level of performance

13、 to occur. 32、s of standard capacity ratings and values of Moisture Removal Efficiency. 6.1.3.1 Dehumidifier Air Quantity. All Standard Ratings shall be determined at an air quantity specified by the manufacturer, delivered against at least the minimum external resistance required by Section 6.1.3.3 as outlined b

33、elow. All air quantities shall be expressed in cfm m3/s of Standard Air (density equal to 0.075 lb/ft3 1.2 kg/m3). a. Dehumidifiers shall be rated at the air quantity delivered when operating against the minimum external resistance specified in 6.1.3.3. b. Air quantities, as referred to herein, appl

34、y to the air quantity experienced when the unit is cooling, dehumidifying and reheating under the Standard Rating Dehumidifying Conditions specified in Section 6. All Standard Ratings for dehumidifiers in which the outdoor section is separated from the indoor section, as i

36、n Types SSIA, SSIA-PH, SSIA-E and SSIA-PH-E (shown in Section 4), shall be determined with at least 25 ft 7.62 m of interconnecting tubing on each line, of the size recommended by the manufacturer. Such dehumidifiers in which the interconnecting tubing is furnished as an integral part of the machine

37、 not recommended for cutting to length shall be tested with the complete length of tubing furnished, or with 25 ft 7.62 m of tubing, whichever is greater. The line sizes, insulation and details of installation shall be in accordance with the manufacturers published recommendations. Minimum External

38、Resistance 6.1.3.3 Minimum External Resistances. Indoor air-moving equipment intended for use with field installed duct systems shall be designed to operate against, and tested at not less than, the minimum external resistance shown in Table 4 when delivering the rated capacity and air quantity spec

39、ified in 6.1.3.1. Indoor air-moving equipment not intended for use with field installed duct systems shall be tested at O in. H,O O Ea external pressure. I 3500 3500 6.2 Application Ratings. 41、y Ratings and their corresponding power inputs, clearly designated as such, including a statement of the conditions at which the ratings apply. 6.3.1 Capacity Designation. The capacity designation used in published specifications, literature or advertising, controlled by the manufacturer, for dehumi

42、difiers rated under this standard, are to be expressed only in Btuh W and lb of moistureh kg of moistureh at the Standard Rating Conditions specified in 6.1. Horsepower, tons or other units shall not be used as capacity designations. 6.4 Tolerances. To comply with this standard, published or reporte

43、d moisture removal capacity and moisture removal efficiency ratings shall be based on data obtained in accordance with the provisions in Section 5, and shall be such that any production unit selected at random and tested in accordance with this section will have a moisture removal capacity and moist

44、ure removal efficiency not less than 95 percent of the published rating. Section 7. Operating Requirements 8.1 Operating Requirements. To comply with this standard, the equipment shall be designed

46、 and produced in accordance with the provisions of this section in such a manner that any production unit will meet the requirements detailed herein. 8.2 Maximum Operating Conditions Test. The equipment shall operate in the mode dictated by the manufacturers control logic with the conditions and set

47、 points established in Table 2. In all cases, the equipment shall be set to insure that the unit starts in a mechanical refrigeration mode. If there is a water cooled or air cooled condenser, it must be active. 8.2.1 Voltages. Tests shall be run at the minimum and maximum utilization voltages of Vol

49、for one hour at the temperature conditions and voltage(s) specified. 8.2.2.2 For single-phase units, all power to the equipment shall be cut off for a period sufficient to cause the compressor to stop (not to exceed five seconds) and then restored. 8.2.3 Requirements.
