Significance and Use3.1 The purpose of this practice is to provide the minimumrequirements necessary for the establishment of a writtenquality assurance program for treestands and elevated huntingequipment.4. Drawing Control Procedure4.1 A procedure shall be in effect so
8、that appropriatemanufacturing drawings, their engineering revisions, and re-lated documents are utilized for each project. These drawingsand documents must be retained as long as the product remainsin production or distribution and for a period of five (5) yearsafter distribution ends.5. Material Co
9、ntrol Procedures5.1 Aprocedure shall be in effect to ensure that all materials,processes and components, including raw materials, are inaccordance with the engineering specifications.5.1.1 This procedure shall provide purchasing personnelwith all the information required to order appropriate materia
10、l.5.1.2 A receiving procedure shall be in effect so thatincoming material is checked against purchasing specifica-tions.5.1.3 A procedure shall be in effect so that material in stockcan be properly identified for future use.5.1.4 Documentation on any material, process, or compo-nents certified shall
11、 be filed for reference.5.2 A procedure will be in effect to ensure that the finalassembly of each product has a permanent date code indicatingits date of manufacture.5.2.1 A date code shall be located on each final productassembly.5.2.2 The date code shall include as a minimum the last digitof the
12、year and a code for the month or the week. (Example: forMarch, 2009 “39” or “C9” or “93” or “9C”.) Any code thatis logical, consistent and able to be decoded by the manufac-turer is acceptable. Any product in production for ten years ormore with no changes will be required to add a third number soth

17、nspection6.1 A procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on manufactured parts and subassembliesto ensure conformance with engineering specifications.6.2 A procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on purchased components.6.3 A procedure shall be
18、 in effect so completed units areinspected prior to delivery.6.4 Nonconforming components shall be identified andevaluated for disposition as follows:6.4.1 Reworked components shall be re-inspected in accor-dance with 6.1, 6.2,or6.3 of this practice prior to use.6.4.2 A component not suitable for us
19、e shall be altered ordisposed of to avoid accidental use.6.4.3 In some cases, a component may be determined to be“acceptable as is” or “as modified” after further evaluation. Insuch cases, appropriate review acceptance and documentationshall be a requirement.7. Testing and Compliance7.1 A procedure
20、shall be in effect to insure that producttesting has been completed and that products comply with theminimum requirements of applicable ASTM standards.7.1.1 The latest revision of the following applicable testmethods shall be met: Test Methods F2125, F2126, F2128,F2337, and F2531.7.1.2 The latest re
21、vision of the following applicable prac-tices shall be met: Practices F2120, F2121, F2122, F2123, andF2124.7.2 Test results and applicable documents must be retainedas long as the product remains in production or distribution andfor a period of five (5) years after distribution ends.7.3 A procedure
22、shall be in place for products to maintaintheir compliance status until such a time that conditions shouldarise that would warrant re-submission. Such conditions wouldinclude, but are not limited to: structural changes in regards todesign, material components, manufacturer of products, orchanges tha
23、t would otherwise diminish or call into question thestructural integrity, safety, or intended use, or a combinationthereof, of the product.
