It pro-vides a common attachment interface for systems manufacturers, system integrators,

It includes the Packet Command feature set implemented bydevices commonly known as ATAPI devices.This standard maintains a high degree of compatibility with the AT Attachment Interface with Packet Inter-face - 5 (ATA/ATAPI-5), ANSI NCI
