This Standard addendum was formulated as TIA Standards Proposal number TIA-PN-598-D-2 under the cognizance of TIA TR-42.12, Subcommittee on Optical Fibers and Cables. This addendum augments Sta
、ndard ANSI/TIA-598-D. This addendum defines a new color for the jackets of indoor cables defined in ANSI/TIA-568.3-D that contain wideband laser-optimized 50/125 m multimode fiber specified by TIA-492AAAE. This cable is also defined in ISO/IEC 11801-1 as cabled optical fiber performance category OM5
、 containing fiber specified in IEC 60793-2-10 as A1a.4. This new color will be incorporated into the next revision of TIA-598. 26、er Cable Color Coding - Addendum 2, Jacket Color for OM5 Indoor Fiber Cables 1 Scope This addendum defines the recommended jacket color for indoor cables containing wide-band multimode fiber, WBMMF. These fibers are defined in TIA-492AAAE and in IEC 60793-2-10 for fiber model A1a.4. The performance
、of cabled WBMMF is defined in ANSI/TIA-568.3. The cabled optical fiber performance category for WBMMF is designated as OM5 in ISO/IEC 11801-1. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through references in this text, constitute provisions of this Standard. At the time
、 of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below.
