MWN may use pip tone, an MS indication, or alert pip tone to inform a subs
24、criber of an unretrieved voice message(s). MWN does not impact a subscribers ability to originate calls or to receive calls. Applicability to Telecommunication Services MWN applies to voice telecommunication services. 1.1 Normal Procedures with Successful Outcome Authorization MWN may be generally a

A message waiting count indication is provided to the MS as it is available. The MS should be capable of receiving the count. Permanent
29、Off. A message waiting count indication is never provided to the MS. Deauthorization MWN may be withdrawn at the subscribers request or for administrative reasons. Registration The MS(s) to receive the MWN shall be designated upon authorization. The voice mail box need not be related to a MIN (e.g.,
30、 Flexible Alerting pilot, Mobile Access Hunting pilot, or an MS Directory Number). Deregistration MWN shall be deregistered upon deauthorization. 38、 Message Waiting Notification (CMWN) feature code, as in: *FC0 + # + termination address + SEND . Alternatively: *FC + termination address + SEND is possible, if a fixed length Cancel Message Waiting Notification feature code is distinct from the deactivation feature code. If the cancellation is acc
39、epted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment and the call is allowed to proceed toward the termination address. At the completion of the call, MWN shall resume the pip tone activation state prior to using the cancel MWN feature code. Pip Tone Temporary Cancellation wi
40、thin a Call MWN pip tone may be deactivated or canceled within a call by a Demand Pip Tone authorized subscriber specifying a Cancel Message Waiting Notification (CMWN) feature code, as in: (optional SEND ) *FC0 + SEND . If the cancellation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature
41、 confirmation treatment and the call is allowed to proceed. At the completion of the call, MWN shall resume the pip tone activation state prior to using the cancel MWN feature code. Invocation Alert Pip Tone Invocation MWN alert pip tone is invoked when the first voice message is left in a VMS for a
42、 particular subscriber. MWN alert pip tone is also invoked upon MS power up and there is one or more unretrieved voice messages in the VMS. Pip Tone Invocation MWN pip tone is invoked when a voice message is left and remains unretrieved in a Voice Message System (VMS) for a particular subscriber, an
43、d the subscriber originates a call or answers an incoming call. Message Waiting Indication and Message Waiting Count Invocation For the Message Waiting Indication and Message Waiting Count options, MWN is invoked when a voice message is left in a VMS for a particular subscriber. It is also invoked w
44、hen MAP registration procedures are invoked for a subscriber and there is an unretrieved voice message in the VMS for the subscriber. 46、MS powers up and a voice message remains unretrieved in the VMS. The alert pip tone shall also be applied when the first voice message is left on a VMS and the MS is available and not engaged in a call or service request. The alert pip tone may be repeated periodically, if there is any doubt that th
47、e subscriber heard it. Pip Tone Normal Operation For the Pip Tone option, a pip tone shall be inserted into the voice channel when the subscriber originates a call or answers an incoming call and a voice message is awaiting retrieval. Message Waiting Indication and Message Waiting Count Normal Opera
48、tion The Message Waiting Indication option works with MSs that support message waiting notification. This notification may be, but not limited to: A short alphanumeric message on the MSs display (see TIA-664.701, Alphanumeric Display). Illumination of a Message Waiting Notification indication (see T
49、IA-664.701, Indicators). Applying an internal MS message waiting alert tone annunciator. The Message Waiting Count option works with MSs that support message waiting count. The Message Waiting Indication and Message Waiting Count shall be provided to an MS as long as there is an unretrieved voice message in the VMS. The Message Waiting Indication is removed from the MS after the last voice message has been retrieved from the VMS. Call Detail Record The system should record call detail information for the following: a. MWN activation activities and events. b. MWN deactivation a
