Scope. This description covers oi
2、led stencilboard which is suitable for marking with stencil-inks and stencil-paints. Classification: The stencilboard covered by this Commercial Item Description shall be of the following types and sizes, as specified (See Section 6, Ordering Data). Types: I - Light weight 1. 3、 II - Heavy weight 0 A. Oiled stencilboard shall be ink resistant and shall be suitable for use with brushes, spray guns, or rollers. B. ResDonsibiliv for Inspection: Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all the
15、 inspection requirements of this CID. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the Commercial Item Description, where such ins
16、pections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements (See Section 6, Ordering Data). B. Sampling: All sampling shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. (1) Sampling for Visual Inspection. A random sample of stencilboard shall be taken from each lot. T
17、he inspection level shall be I with an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 2.5 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one sheet. (2) SamulinP for Dimensional Insuection. A random sample of stencilboard shall be taken fiom each lot. The inspection level shall be S-3 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defe

For the curl test, a random sample of stencilboard shall be taken from each lot. The
19、 inspection level shall be S-1 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one sheet. TAPPI tests shall be in accordance with TAPPI T 400 for the applicable TAPPI test methods. (4) Samuling for PreDaration for Delivery. For examination of the preparation for delivery. The sample u
20、nit shall be one shipping container fully prepared for delivery, selected at random. The inspection level shall be S-2 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective. C. Inmections. (1) Visual Examination. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B. 1. shall be examined to veri that the superficial produc
21、t requirements are in compliance with Section 1. (2) Dimensional Examination. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B.2. shall be examined to veri that all dimensionally measurable product requirements are in compliance with Section 1. (3) Tests. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B
22、.3. shall be subjected to the following tests to demonstrate consistency in product functionality, durability, and performance expectations. (a) For basis weight use TAPPI test method T-410. (b) For bursting strength use TAPPI test method T-403 (c) For grain use TAPPI test method T-409. (d) For thic
23、kness use TAPPI test method T-411 (e) Curl test: Two specimens, 30.48 centimeters by 30.48 centimeters (12 inches by 12 inches), shall be placed on a clean, dry, flat surface; one specimen with the felt side up and the other with the wire side up. If the specimen shows an edge curl; measure, to the
24、nearest .40 millimeter (1164 inch), the perpendicular distance fiom the supporting surface to the down face of the specimen at the edge. (4) Examination for Preuaration for Delivery. 25、TNG AND PACKTNG PROVISIONS. Each stencilboard shall be packaged to prevent damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. Packaged stencilboard shall be packed in accordance with normal commercial practice. The packing container shall be closed to prevent accidental opening and shall be su
