1、R - A-A-501 61 April 1, 1988 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRlPTION CLOTH, DENIM, COTTON The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to MIL-C-11854. 1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 General. The cloth shall be made from cotton, drawn and spun into

2、2-ply or singles yarn. The cloth shall have a dyed warp, in the color specified (see 4.2), and natural filling and shall have a 1 up, 2 down right hand twill weave. The width shall be as specified (see 4.21, and shall be the mihimum acceptable width inclusive of the selvage when fly-shuttle looms or

3、 shuttleless looms with tuck-in selvage are used. measurements shall be made between the last warp yarn on each side excluding the protruding fringe(s). The contractor shal certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of the description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices, and is the s

10、ame as the product offered for saLe in the commercial marketplace. When specific quality assurance provisions are specified for any commercial characteristic, the contractor shall furnish data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specific quality assurance provisions. conforman

15、astic ties with a lock-end.
