1、A-A-501 72 October 3, 1988 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION COLLECT ION PLATE The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to MIL-C-43474. 1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 Design and construction. The collection plate shall be fabricated of co
2、mercial brass with a chromium plate finish. The plate shall be round in design and measure 12 inches f one inch with a depth of 2-1/2 inches 2 one inch. The base shall be round and measure 6 inches 2 1 inch. A velour mat, reinforced by cardboard and glued to the plate, as available in the supplier?
3、commercial practice may be included as an optional item. The color of the cotton velour mat may be specified by the procuring activity. 2 QUALITY ASSURANCE 2.1 Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics and requirements of this description
4、and conforms to the producer? s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. When specific quality assurance provisions are specified for any commercial characteristic the contractor shall furnish data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specific q
5、uality assurance provisions. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 3. PACKAGING 3.1 Packaging. Each collection plate shall be completely enclosed in a clear
6、polyethylene bag. Bags shall be closed by folding the end around and securing it with a piece of pressure-sensitive tape. Each plate shall then be inserted into a snug-fitting folding or Set-up paperboard box. 3.2 Packing. Twelve collection plates, packaged as specified, shall be packed in a snug-fi
7、tting RSC style corrugated fiberboard shipping container conforming to type CF, (variety SW) or SF, class domestic, grade 275 of PPP-B-636. and of size that can be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147.
