SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 Design and construction. The dispenser shall be a coun
2、tertop type containing four cylindrical tubes for paper, or plastic, or Styrofoam cups and compartments for cup lids and drinking straws, to be used with beverage drink dispensers. Maximum overall dimensions shall be 14 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 26 inches high. The dispenser, except for the c
3、up tubes, shall be fabri- cated of stainless steel or polished aluminum, The cup tubes shall be fabri- cated of 300 series stainless steel. The dispenser shall be equipped with four stainless steel spring-loaded cup tubes suitable for dispensing plastic, paper, or Styrofoam cups. from the front of t

The contractor shall certify, and maintain substantiating evidence, that the product offered meets the salient characteristics and requirements of this Commercial It
9、em Description, and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such confor- mance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided or under the provision
10、s of the contract. 2.2 End item examination. Sampling inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. (AQL), expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 4.0. Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, provided they fall within specified tolerances us
13、ing conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard No. 376, and all other requirements of this CID are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch-pound units, a request should be made to the contract
14、ing officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product, 2.4 Regulatory requirements. The offerorfcontractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable. 2

Packaging and packing shall be commercial or as specified (see 4.2). 3.2 Commercial packaging and packing. Each dispense
16、r shall be cleaned, preserved, packaged, packed, and unitized in accordance with ASTM D 3951. 3.3 Marking. Marking of unit pack, shipping container, and unit load shall be in accordance with ASTM D 3951. 4. NOTES 4.1 Intended use. The dispenser covered by this commercial item description is intended
17、 for use in the serving line of military dining facilities to dispense cups, lids, and straws in an organized manner. 4.2 Ordering data. Acquisition documents should specify the following: a.
