SCOPE. This CID covers a forged-steel, burton-style, hoist hook. 2. SALIENT
3、 CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 Materials. The materials shall be carbon or alloy steel, having a minimum tensile strength of 414 kilopascals (Wa) 60,000 pounds per square inch (psi), and a minimum yield strength of 242 Wa (35,000 psi). 2.2 Proof. The hook shall sustain a steadily applied proof load of 2720 k
4、ilograms (kg) 6,000 pounds (lbs) without permanent set or deformation, and a steadily applied minimum ultimate strength load of 6350 kg (14,000 lbs) without disengagement of the load by straightening of the hook. 2.3 . The hook shall be as shown in figure 1. . 2.4 and legible and shall include, as a
5、 minimum, the manufacturers identification code (CAGE), the contract number, the part identification number (PIN) AA525551 (see 6.1), and the national stock number (NSN). .
