1、 A-A-59622 7 November 2001 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION TAGS, SHIPPING AND STOCK “The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies.” 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers a particular size and shape paper shipping and
2、stock tag for attachment to special equipment in order to provide identification and other miscellaneous data. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The tags shall conform to the following grades and sizes: 2.1 Grades. Grades shall be such that the physical requirements of Table 1 are met. 2.2 Size. Tags shall be 4- i
3、nch by 2-1/8 inch with a 1/16-inch tolerance. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 3.1 Materials. Tags shall be made of paper, furnished with patches, metal eyelet, and metal wire. 3.2 Patch, eyelet. The patch shall be made from 100 percent chemical woodpulp and shall have a 7/32 1/32 inch diameter hole. The
4、edge of the hole shall be not less than 5/32 inch from the edge of the patch in any direction. The thickness of the patch shall be not less than 0.010 inch. 3.3 Wire, tag attachment. Wire shall be 0.020 0.005 inch diameter. The tag wire shall be tinned, annealed, or galvanized at the suppliers optio
5、n. 3.4 Physical requirements. Tags shall conform to the requirements in Table I. 3.5 Wet tensile strength. 7、permitted without license from IHS-,-,-2 A-A-59622 3.6 Construction. Tags shall have a hole with its center no more than 3/4 inch from the tying end. The hole shall have a diameter of 7/32 + 1/32 inch and shall be centered + 1/16 inch between the long edges of the tag. The hole shall be reinforced w
8、ith a patch firmly attached to each surface and shall have a metal eyelet. The adhesion of patches shall be such that, when dry, the patches cannot be removed without breaking them apart or tearing the surface of the tag. The tags shall have clipped corners at the tying end. Tags shall be strung wit
9、h not less than 12 inches of wire (see 3.5). 3.7 Color. Tags shall be manila. 3.8 Curl. Tags having a curl produced in the course of manufacture, which cannot be straightened, shall not be acceptable. 3.9 Surface. Tags shall have a good printing and writing surface. 3.10 Workmanship. Tags shall be c
10、lean, free from holes, wrinkles, creases, dirt, oil, and wax spots. Unbound tags shall have clean cut edges. TABLE I. Physical Requirements of Tag. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. PRODUCT CO
12、NFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product Conformance. The product shall meet the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market.
13、 The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 Market Acceptability. The following market acceptability criteria are necessary to document the quality of the product to be provided under this CID. 5.2.1 The manufacturer of the item must have been producing a product mee
14、ting the requirements of this CID for at least 2 years. 6. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
